SPAB Working Party 2017

SPAB stands for the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings, and each year they pick a building in need of work, this year they chose the ruinous mills in Lumsdale Valley, Derbyshire. The area is used by many locals for picnics and dog walks due to the possibility to explore and paddle in the river.
The Working Party spent a week at the site using a variety of methods such as soft capping and re-pointing to preserve the ruins for many years, and make it safe for the public to explore.
